REFLECTION OF THE DAY: I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND.
REFLECTION OF THE DAY: I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND.
Matthew 18, 15-20 "If he listens to you"
How many times do we listen inattentively to what others tell us and how many times do we answer something like “yes, sure” and have no idea what we are saying yes to. Human beings suffer a lot from the loneliness of the soul and we just need someone who wants to listen to us. Sometimes we don't even expect advice, no, we just want the company of a person willing to listen. Has this happened to you? Maybe you are the one who has needed a friend.
And friends must also be there to remind us where the road is when we get lost, when temptations call us, pull us and do not let us live in peace. Because that is what the evil one does, we fall in love in such a way that we put aside our values, morality and fall into the lie that little by little grows until it becomes unbearable, but difficult to get out of there.
Today's word tells us to be good friends, to discreetly try to help those we love and if it doesn't work, to look for others who also want to help us and if they don't want to listen to us, maybe it's worth walking away because curiously, the one who he is in bad steps, he tends to pull those who want to help him.
Jesus is our best friend, in any situation and in bad times, we only need to hear his voice. But how is that? many people wonder. Listening to the voice of God is through other people when they come to help us because they love us; hearing the voice of God is through his word of eternal life. You have to open the Bible! Read it, meditate on it, love it because in it we will find refuge for our hearts, in it there are answers, there is compassion, there is the strength we need to leave what is not good in our lives, to learn not to hurt others and to feel loved.
Jesus Christ Father, brother and friend...never abandons us. Sometimes we are the ones who forget about him.
Today's purpose: Get closer to the friend and learn to listen.
